2023 SYSL Spring Registration Now Open

Registration for the SYSL (Grades 2+, players born 2015 and before) Spring 2023 season is now open.

Please be aware that teams are filled on a first-come-first-served basis, and once registration closes, or teams are filled, you will not be able to join this program. Team formation is contingent on a sufficient number of players and volunteer coaches at each age group.

SCS has a number of teams which participate in the Suburban Youth Soccer League. SYSL is a competitive/recreational league offered in both the Spring and the Fall, and open to both boys and girls born in 2015 or before (minimum age for the 2023 Spring season).

There are no tryouts for SYSL and the program is open to players of all ability levels. Teams are generally kept together from season to season, and the level of competition ("flights") is determined via past team performance.

SYSL fees are $150 + service fee per season, plus the cost of a uniform which can be used from season to season, as long as it fits.

PLEASE NOTE:

2015 Players
This Spring, players born in 2015 will have two options for soccer with the Soccer Club of Springfield: K-2 Rec Soccer or Suburban Youth Soccer League (SYSL). The K-2 program will be the same as what was offered for these kids in the Spring, while SYSL is what has traditionally been offered to players typically beginning in 3rd grade.

The SYSL program is also a recreational program where your child will be placed on a SCS team that will compete against nearby towns. At the younger levels, teams play 8v8 including a goalie on a small-side field, with our home games typically played at Ruby Field. Your players will be placed on a u9 team so they will be playing with and competing against kids born in 2014-2015.

Please note that it is strongly recommended that you register for only 1 of these 2 options as there will likely be multiple games and/or practices at conflicting times between these two programs. We have decided to make both options available for this age group so that you can determine which program is most appropriate for your player and your family.
